Thank you for your interest in the Hepatitis C Intensive Training Preceptorship program! This program is provided by the Mount Sinai Institute for Advanced Medicine and funded through the NYSDOH AIDS Institute Clinical Education Initiative.

This two day clinical education program (October 24-25, 2018) provides an intensive experience for practicing clinicians in New York State, and is restricted to physicians, physician assistants, nurses, and nurse practitioners. Through a combination of didactic sessions and experiential training, clinicians are able to enhance their hepatitis C treatment and care knowledge and competence to better serve their patients.

- Shadow an HCV specialist in a busy Mount Sinai clinic
- Discuss best practices and sit in on patient visits

In-depth lectures with Q & A
- Treatment for Hepatitis C: New Tests, New Drugs & New Recommendations
- Hepatitis C Prior Authorization: Tricks of the Trade
- Cirrhosis: What Clinicians Need to Know
- Achieved SVR, What's Next? HCV Post Treatment Management
- Hepatitis B and C: Coinfection and Reactivation

All clinical experience shadowing will take place at a Mount Sinai affiliated clinic located in Manhattan, NY. Accepted applicants from upstate New York will be provided with an honorarium to assist with transportation and lodging expenses.

Seating is limited! Applicants will be notified within 2 weeks of the submission deadline if they have been accepted.

In order to be considered for this program, please submit this application no later than August 17, 2018.  Accepted applicants must complete required Mount Sinai clearance paperwork in order to be cleared to shadow expert clinicians, and must be given permission from their current supervisor to attend the two-day preceptorship.
